Directions and Maps to Stonybrook

The Easiest and More Scenic Route to Stonybrook (Through the Village)

From the Waterbury Exit on Interstate 89 (Exit 10) proceed 10 miles north on Route 100 into Stowe Center. At the first ,and only, stop sign, turn left on the Mountain Road for approximately 3 miles. Turn left on Luce Hill Road at the fork where the Mountain Road veers right and Luce Hill Rd breaks off to the left. Just before this junction you will pass Gracie's Restaurant on the right, and then Piecasso's Pizza Restaurant on the left. At this junction there will also be a sign for the Trapp Lodge and for Interstate 89 (Luce Hill Road, and then Barrows Road and then the Moscow Road is the backdoor route back down to Route 100 and Interstate 89). The Stonybrook Association entrance is on Luce Hill Road, on the left, just after your cross the small bridge, about two blocks down from the Mountain Road. Contact the Owner for the final directions to this property, once you are in Stonybrook.

The Shortcut to Stonybrook (Also Scenic with Possible Vermont Cow Sitings!)
This is best if you have been to Stowe before, and is the backdoor route (referred to above) to and from the Mountain (bypassing Stowe Center). As you come up Route 100 from Waterbury, about 7 miles from Waterbury and 3 miles south of Stowe, take a left on the Moscow Road. At night it is harder to spot, but it comes up not long after dropping down a long, steep incline on Route 100. There is a street light on the left marking the intersection. After turning onto Moscow road, approximately 1.5 - 2 miles down, at the second major right turn is Barrows Road. Go right on Barrows and proceed about two miles until it dead ends on Luce Hill Road. At Luce Hill take a right down the hill. The Stonybrook entrance is about 3 blocks down. It is the first right hand turn possible, and is well marked and lighted.

Aerial and Road Map Views
On the two road maps below (also see accompanying aerial maps) , Luce Hill Road, the Mountain Road and Barrows road are all depicted. But again, if this is your first time to Stowe, we recommend you stay on Route 100, go on into Stowe Center, and see this charming village first, and then head up Route 108 (The Mountain Road) to the Luce Hill Rd cutoff to Stonybrook.
